Students, families, faculty and staff came together in the Matarese Commons for an annual potluck celebration organized by the Derryfield Multicultural Student Union. In addition to an amazing array of food, there were dancing and singing performances, karaoke (in Spanish), face painting, and henna hand designs. The room was filled with the swirling colors of traditional clothing, and draped flags of many nations.
Director of Equity and Belonging, Anela Kruščica, said of the event,
“This was a great opportunity for students to share their food and different cultural backgrounds. In the future, we hope to grow the event–the more the merrier!”
